Daray's shoes clicked against the stone floor of the long corridor. In his paws he clutched a bundle of brilliant crimson roses. He knew he was holding them tightly enough because he could feel the thorns piercing his skin. He licked his chapped lips and almost tripped over his own foot. Regaining his composure, he coolly walked down what remained of the corridor.
When he reached the end, he spun on his heel and walked down another corridor; his mind was almost completely empty... Save for the mental rehearsals screaming in his consciousness. 'It can't be that hard... I see it on TV all the time... Leave the flowers, knock on the door, and run...' He told himself mentally. 'Leave the flowers, knock on the door, and run...' His heart began to thud louder with growing nervousness. He noticed his breathing rate had also increased.
He stopped abruptly in front of the door. The door he had passed by so many times. It was the door to Laevaetion's room. The tense Lupe carefully set the roses in front of the door and wiped his bloodied hands on his black pants. He carefully backed away and took a deep breath. He rapped three times on the door and turned to run when he tripped on his tail. Cursing, he fell head over heels (Quite literally), and ended up with his face facing the door. He yelped and tried to get up, dismayed to find his pant leg was stuck on something.
Hearing the knock on her door and the yelp from outside her door, the darigan zafara, Laevaetion, walked towards the door and turned the brass handle which allowed the door to open inwards. She immediatly looked from side to side. Seeing that the one who had knocked was lying on the floor, she took a step back startledly. Soon reconizing the one on the floor was Daray, Laevaetion calmed as she folded her arms, "What happened here?"

Daray, still recovering from shock, looked up at her. He jerked on his pant leg, freeing it with only a small rip. He stood up and brushed off his black clothing. Fluidly, he smoothed his hair. "Er..." He didn't exactly know what to tell her. It would ruin the whole effect if he told her the flowers were for her and he was madly in love with her. But if he didn't do anything, the whole night of preparation would be for nothing. He had to compromise; sure, he would lose some of the effect... but it was better than nothing. He bent down and picked up the roses, staring at them rather than Laevaetion. "Er... I got these for ye. I was walkin' back and I crossed a lovely garden. An' I couldn' let 'em go to waste and I figured ye may have wanted 'em..." he said while shuffling his feet.
Laevaetion blinked in surprise. Her arms fell out of they're folded state and hung loosly at her sides. She was hesitatent, "Oh...thanks. You didn't have to, though." She let out a small laugh, "Wouldn't you have been worried that being seen doing that would ruin your reputation?"

Daray smiled weakly. "But I did, anyway." He held out the flowers so she could take them. "My reputation's too large t' be brought down by somethin' so little as this..." he could feel his pawns and knees shaking now.
Ooc: You need to bring in someone like Mailiku or Dawnteh or something like that. 'Cause it's funny. :3
((-shoves Dawnteh in the RP since he's not used much- :3))
Laevaetion took the flowers. Looking down at the roses, she gently brushed the sides of the petals with her finger, "Thanks. First time I've gotten flowers before." "Ah ha." Dawnteh laughed shortly as he leaned against the corridor wall, "How origonal, Daray." One of his hands held the silver razor sharp cane-like weapon that he didn't seem to be seen without. A look of amusement played on his face.

Daray blushed deeply, whirling around to face Dawnteh. He despised Dawnteh. The Lupe narrowed his eyes. "Thank ye very much, Dawnteh," he said through grinding teeth, purposely ignoring his sarcasm. "Sue me for unoriginality, but it was 'ow things were done back in the homeland. Now go stuff that cane down yer throat an' leave mah romantic matters alone... Or I'll stuff the can down yer throat m'self," he said dangerously.
"You could try." The light blue glowing gelert said in a casual tone of voice as he made no attempt to move from his position, "Words don't scare me. Words are for the streets." Laevaetion let out a silent sigh as she shook her head, switching her glance between the two.

Daray snarled, pulling his cape tighter about his body. Fighting would be useless here; he was, after all, an ally. He sighed, retaining the rest of his anger. He then realized how old he actually was; several hundred years of history... The thought stung him. He had a gut-feeling this wouldn't work out the way he planned it.
He preformed an empty bow to the two and began to walk away, shoulders slightly slouched. Sure, he didn't have to worry about his reputation...
But his emotions were something completely different.
"Nice job, Dawnteh. You sure know how to make friends." Laevaetion said in a sarcastic tone. Dawnteh shrugged carelessly as his expression never seemed to change, "Whatever." Laevaetion looked at the flowers in her hand then let out a sigh. She closed her front door shut and began walking after Daray. She stopped as soon as she passed Dawnteh, "Don't go in my room and don't touch anything." She then began to speed walk after Daray once again.

Daray, oblivious to the fact he was being followed, walked to the exit of the castle. He unlatched it, causing it to swing forward. With a sigh, he walked into the night air; a light breeze caressed his face. He cut his way through the woods with his axe-pike until he came to a clearing. In the center was a large pond; the water glowed eerily with the moon-light.
"O' course... my soul was sold to Satan... I think it's illegal for things like THAT to happen," he muttered angrily.
Laevaetion ran out the exit. Her pupils shifted to scan the area. Seeing branches and other trees parts had been hacked away, she immediatly thought that was the right way to go. Stepping over upright roots and pushing branches out of her way, she followed the 'path'. Her pace began to slow as she caught sight of Daray. She slowed until she stopped a few feet away, "Sorry about...that. I have no control over Dawnteh."
((Ah! Now its in my head! -runs in circles- -tries to find it on Dogpile- ))
