Daray's heart sunk; he really didn't want to leave Laevaetion... but what choice did he have? Lucifer would destroy him if he did not cooperate... But he was Daray Tiernan! The greatest evil that ever walked Neopia! He was sure he could buy himself a couple more weeks with Laevaetion if he put his mind to it. He spun around and faced Vertigo. "Tell Lucifer t' screw a tree. I'm stayin' 'ere," he said firmly. Vertigo blinked, amazed. "You're a stupid, outrageously brave man, Daray. I respect you." With that, the imp disappeared in a burst of fire. Daray wearily faced Laevaetion and closed the two foot gap between them.
"It looks like I'll be stayin' for a few more weeks," he said with a tired grin.
Laevaetion took her eyes off the ground and looked up at Daray. A small smile was on her face as a few tears that she had attempted to hold back dried up. She hesitated, then gently wrapped ar arms around Daray, "I can't believe you just did that...won't you just get into more trouble?"

Daray nodded with a sigh. "Aye. I'm 'fraid I won' have my demons anymore... Lucifer'll do anythin' to punish my for my defiance. But I don' need 'im. My powers were my own... except for my ability to summon demons..." he sighed, reaching up and poking one of his horns. "I'm surprised I've still retained demon-hood. Unless it's possible to become... er... a risen demon?" He shrugged, tightly embracing Laevaetion. "None o' that matters, though. I 'ave ye... And THAT'S what matters." Daray blinked, mind shifting to other matters. "How d'ye think Mailiku'll take this?"
"Perhaps. It might be possible." Laevaetion said towards the risen demon possibility. "I don't think Mailiku would mind...as long as it doesn't interfere with anything." Laevaetion answered with a hint of certainty in her voice.

Daray smiled slightly, letting go of Laevaetion and taking a step back. "Well, I think it'd be best to head back t' the lair," he said in a hushed voice. He began walking back to the tower at a slow pace.
Ooc: Well, I think that just about ends it... unless you've got something to keep it going. x3
