Daray shook his head, looking at the reflection of stars in the water. "No, it's no' his fault..." He said with a long, drawn out sigh.
"I just never thought about 'ow old I am... I never thought about it 'till now, at least..." He muttered.
"I am damned to walk Neopia for an eternity, leading the horde of Satan 'cause..." He trailed off. Tears began to form in his eyes.
"'Ow could I be so blind...?" He whispered to himself. "I shouldn' 'ave-" He was cut short as the x-shaped marking on his cheek briefly glowed a deep silver. Daray clutched the ground, feeling his consciousness slipping away more and more with each second.

A female lupe was sitting in a tree, her grey and crimson eyes closed. She opened one to see Daray and Laevaetion, then opened the other eye. "Hmmm." She watched carefully, her tail swaying with interest. Her long nails, almost claw - like, scratched the wood, and she almost fell out of the tree in suprise. "Shit. That outta give away my location." She said angrily.

Laevaetion's eyes widdened a bit. She jumpped back startledly as she watched Daray. "Wha-Whats happening?" She asked in a semi-loud tone as she took a few steps foreward and knelt down beside Daray. Her glance swiftly shifted towards the lupe in the tree, but she couldn't think of anything to say.

Ooc:What are you reading? 'Cannae' is a Scottish accent though I type it can no' because that's how it is in a more historically acurate book. <3
Bic: Daray winced as he felt the sensation of something prodding at his mind. It got what it wanted. Daray fell face-first into the ground, blacking out for a few seconds. When he regained conciousness, he sat up and looked towards Laevaetion, head throbbing painfully.
"What 'appened...?" He said quietly, glancing at the other Lupe.
"Who are ye an' what are ye doin' here?" He asked warily.

"You...don't remember?" Laevaetion asked as she blinked confusingly, "You just wandered out here. Then..." She pointed towards the mark on Daray's cheek, "That glowed and you passed out." Her glance shifted to the lupe in the tree once more.

"I'm just an innocent bystander. Err- Bysitter?" She yawned. "I'm nothing to worry about. Usually I am, but not today." She went back to watching. "And why did you want to know?" The lupe did not look like a trouble maker: quite the opposite infact. If it werent for her eye color, she would look very innocent and kind. She hated how she looked, but it worked for deception.

Daray shook his head at Laevaetion. "No..." He said simply, looking to the other Lupe again. "I see..." he murmured. Even if she was a threat, he didn't have the strength to wield his weapon or summon demons. He was defenseless.
Daray's eyelids began to grow heavy; only then did he remember he had stayed up all night planning for his "meeting" with Laevaetion.

"I would get nothing out of hurting you anyway; I only pose a threat when I get something out of it." The lupe confessed. "And then again, only when it's something good. I'm Kai, by the way." The lupe wasn't completely evil; but not good, either.

"Uh...huh..." Laevaetion said slowly as she looked up at the lupe. She didn't want to give Kai her name since she had no idea who 'Kai' was. Her glance shifted back to Daray, "You going to be OK?"

Daray gave a weary nod. "Aye, I think so..." He muttered, laying down on the grass. He was now looking directly at the stars, pondering.
"Laevaetion, I'm terribly sorry if I caused ye any grief wi' my antics,"he said with a slight joking tone.
"I can take the flowers back if ye don' want 'em."
