((Chase's page is FAR from finished, so I'll do my best to cover his past in my intro. ^^)
The sound of light feet padding through the desert sands echoed in the kyrii's ears as he sprinted, full speed, away from the city's guards who were after him yet again. "Stupid guards. They never learn." Chase smirked to himself, slowing from his run and bounding up to the rooftop of the closest building. "Idiots, all of them. Complete morons. Couldn't catch a cold, and would have a hard time even finding it to begin with."
He watched as the guards sped past his hiding spot, looking around futilely for their prey - him.
He watched as they muttered to each other, unable to hear their conversation from up here. Slowly, they turned around and began to head back to the jail.
Chase grinned widely. "Stupid guards. You can never catch the Desert Theif."
The colours over the desert sky shone brightly as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon. It was almost night - the perfect time for collecting food and other interesting goods.
Chase sighed, leaning back and remembering what the guards had mentioned earlier, as he'd... borrowed about three cheops plants from a nearby fruit stall.
"There he is! Get him!"
He'd had to sacrifice two of the plants to distract the guards, in the quickest way possible.
"AHH! My eyes! The cheops juice, it burns!"
Chuckling to himself, he had set off at a quick pace away from the guards.
"Just like his father!" One of the guards grumbled angrily.
"No, General, he's worse." Another contradicted.
Chase growled to himself, having heard those comments. He was nothing like his father. "Are you two going to chit chat and let me get away, or are you coming after me?" He shouted sarcastically.
He took a bite from his last fruit, now, forgetting of the earlier run. It was probably safe to come down now. Everyone else here didn't really bother him. Most were afraid he'd come and steal all their family's goods. Like he'd actually do something like that! ... He didn't have anywhere to put that stuff.
He bounded down to the street, discarding the leaves from his cheops plant, and continued down the street, glaring at anyone who gave him a second glance.
"Don't get too close..." An acara muttered to her daughter, pulling her away from Chase's path.
Cowards. All of them. They were more afraid of his image than his actual status. Truthfully, he wasn't even that strong. If a battledomer took a swipe at him, he'd be down for sure. If they could catch him, that is. Speed was Chase's greatest asset.
He looked down the alleyways, watching pairs of angry eyes follow him. You never knew who was going to be out at night... the desert was dangerous in the dark.
((Gah. ; Long.))
