I have found that most comics lately aren't like the old ones. These aren't funny or full of cute/beautiful art. So I started thinking: What makes a good comic? Oviously one person can't decide what makes a comic, I needed to interview some people.
And that's what this board is about. I need you guys to give me some things I can quote in my article. Please don't go off spamming on this board ^^; I don't want to sift through all the spam to find my quotes.

Comics just need origonality and have to look that they're was effort put into them. You shouldn't forget even the simplist boxes, like a quick close up, because when you have it, it makes everything better and makes it look like more work was put into it.
Yeah...thats all I have to say. -rummages for her old comics that she still has to finish-

|3 Nothing that shows up in my comic. -brick'd- ^_^ Hmm... lesse... what makes a comic good... It depends on what kind of comic we're talking about, firstly. :3 If we're talking about graphic novels/manga: A sturdy plotline. Something that will captivate your readers and make them think. Something that isn't too confusing, and that people will really get into. It also helps to have interesting characters with different personalities. PLOT. TWISTS. These, I love. Things that make the reader go: "Woah! I wasn't expecting something like that!" For humouros funnies: Humour and punchlines. But that goes without saying. Clashing personalities! Nothing better than funny arguments breaking out. Of course, not everyone's personality should clash... but if one or two charries have reeeaaalllly clashing personalities... well, let's just say arguments are entertaining. ^_~ Hmm... I think that's about it really. :3 ^_^ And that is my... opinion.

Frankly, most comics today suck. No comedy, the art is crap.

=3 Yes. My comic fits into that "most comics" category you just mentioned. No comedy (so far, anyway). And my art is crap. ^_^

Well, I think a good Comic would be an Manga. I don't care for the humurous ones, quite frankly. The art usually sucks. But if you mix humor with Manga and good art, THAT makes a good comic, in My opinion. Or manga. Or whatever you wanna call it.
