((I was pretty lazy on this and its pretty short. But it stil gives you an idea of what happened, ne? :P Here it is.))
Laevaetion’s Story
“AHHHHH! LAEVAETION!” Yelled the distant voice of my brother, Hacaeus. I let out a snicker as the light blue zafara had entered the room I was standing in. He had white short hair that kind of spiked downwards. A braid came from the right side of his head, a feather attached to the end. His fists were clenched, a white t-shirt loosely hanging over his torso and baggy white pants over his legs. “What the hell did you put in my drink?!” He shouted, an angry expression on his face as his aqua eyes shot daggers. I gave an innocent look as I clasped my hands behind my back, “I didn’t do a thing.” “Don’t gimme that crap! My drink EXPLODED.” Hacaeus said. “Well…they’re may have been a bit of plastic explosive in it.” I said in a tone as if I didn’t mean to do it, which I did. “You just watch your back, sister!” Hacaeus said as he pointed a finger at me, “I’ll get you back so hard someday.” He turned around sharply and stomped out of the room. “Hehe…” I said under my breath. I was 15 years old at that time and or course, Hacaeus was 15 too. We’re twins. No one would suspect such a thing, I think except for a few minor things. Hacaeus and I both had the exact same aqua eyes, except my eyes were in need of the aid of glasses. My hair, though, was quite long and a dark red. My fur was also a silky lipstick red. My usual attire was just a sleeveless black shirt and midnight blue flares. Getting bored from just standing around, I stuffed my hands in my pockets and wandered off to see who was around.
I walked down the hallway of my home. The walls were a light blue to match the carpeting. I peered into a room which had the door wide-open. An elderly angel zafara sat there, the glow on his halo growing dim. The zafara was my father. He was getting old and was near death. He was one of the Gods: the one who chose the Guardian Angels and The Keepers of Hell. Soon enough, he would have to choose where my brother and I would go. My mother had already passed. She was a Guardian Angel, as was my father. Maybe genetics would go through? I kind of doubted it. Neither Hacaeus nor I were angelic enough to be Guardian Angels. We were always cruel towards each other ever since we were born. My father looked like he was deep in thought, so I didn’t disturb him. I was about to walk on until I felt a hand on my shoulder, “Laevaetion.” I turned my head and looked up just to see that it was my father. He was quick for an old guy. “Please, come with me. Your brother is already waiting.” I nodded and followed my father.
“As you both know, I’m not going to be around for much longer.” My father started, his voice quiet and weak so my brother and I dared not to breathe loudly. “And you two need to be placed. I have already decided your places a few months ago, but I just didn’t know how to say it to you.” I felt that something bad was going to happen. I held my breath. “Hacaeus, you belong in the life of a Guardian Angel while Laevaetion, you belong as a Keeper of Hell.” I nearly choked on the breath I didn’t have, “WHAT?!” My father raised his hand as if to silence me, “I know it may seem shocking to you both since you are both twins. But Hacaeus’s heart is filled with good intentions. Laevaetion, your heart is filled with bad intentions and suspicion. No angel can have the thought of harming another.” Before I even had the chance to speak, a light surrounded the three of us. The light disappeared. Hacaeus had sprouted white fluffy wings from his back. His fur was white as snow. A gold halo shone bright and hovered above his head. His eyes were now a cerulean blue. The only thing that hadn’t changed was his hair. I looked at myself. My fur was a deeper red. Black claws sprouted from my paws. Two red and black dragon-like wings sprouted from my back. Two black horns poked through my hair. My once aqua eyes were now an orange-red. I looked at where my father was, but he was gone. He had passed on. Hacaeus and I were the only ones left. We were branded. Now we had to do our jobs.
Three years later
“You get the emblem and get out. Nothing else.” A camouflage anthro kougra told me, pointing a finger towards me. I nodded, “Got it, Rais.” Rais was the camouflage kougra. He was the leader of the organization I was a part of which was called ‘Casimir’. He had black loose pants with a black coat, a navy blue shirt underneath, a black headset, a navy blue belt with assorted pockets as did all the males since it was uniform. I was now 18 years old and had a short black dress that clung to me, a navy blue belt was around my waist. Navy blue sleeves were pinned onto the sleeveless dress with silver pins, the ends of the sleeves being loose and wide. A black headset rested on my head and my glasses were set to scan and send data. I nodded to Rais and walked out of our underground hideout.
The night sky was as dark as it could get. There were no streetlights, cars, or stars in the sky. I starred up at the building I would soon have to find a way into. I squinted my eyes as my glasses zoomed in. A window was slightly cracked open at the 6th floor. I smirked, “How stupid.” I walked up to the wall of the building. Two dragon-like black and red wings spread out on my back. I flapped my wings and soared up silently to the 6th floor, landing on the small ledge. I slipped my claw under the crack in the window and slowly lifted it open. I peered inside. All was dark and the room looked like a normal corporate office. I gently hopped inside, leaving the window ajar. Now it was just about locating the Emblem. I pulled a small device out of my pocket, a small glow coming from a holographic screen that popped up. A small holographic keyboard appeared also. I typed in the word ‘Emblem’ and the place I was at. In a matter of seconds, a map of the building popped up and a dot flashed, showing where the Emblem was. I let out a laugh, “How convenient. It’s on my floor. This is too easy.”
After disconnecting the security camera system and taking a few turns in halls and rooms, I finally came across another small office. I shuffled through papers and cabinets until I finally found it. Inside a small jar was a silver Emblem, a complicated symbol engraved into the circular object. I picked up the Emblem out of the jar and stuffed it in my pocket. I raced back to the window I had left open and flew out, heading back to the hideout with a smile of accomplishment on my face.
“Perfect.” Rais said as he observed the Emblem I had taken earlier. “Now we’ll be able to enter the government building with ease. Good work, Laevaetion.” I nodded as I took a seat at a computer desk, different electronics covering the top, “It was easy.” “Tomorrow then.” Rais started, “Tomorrow we’ll head to the government building. Holding this, the government will already think we are apart of them. Then soon as we get inside, we set up the bombs and get the hell out of there. There will be nothing left. It will be our responsibility to rule over Neopia.”
I had awoken early the next morning, an alarm clock ringing near my pierced ears telling me to get up. I got dressed quickly and headed for the hideout. It took quite a flight to get there since I had chosen a far away spot to live. While flying, my nose caught the scent of smoke. My eyes widened as I saw thick smoke rising from where the hideout should be. I zoomed towards the hideout and landed somewhat far from it. The hideout did more than catch on fire. It exploded. I could still feel the heat as fire truck sirens rang and were getting closer. “Who…” I muttered, “Who could’ve done this?!” I said aloud in disbelief. NO ONE knew Casimir’s name and no one knew who was a member. “I did.” I turned around quickly to see an Angel Zafara standing there. I knew who it was, “Hacaeus…?” I asked, “YOU did this?!” Hacaeus nodded, “I needed to, Laevaetion. I knew what you were planning on doing. I couldn’t let it happen.” I blinked in disbelief, “How could you?! Your supposed to help people!” Hacaeus sighed as he shrugged his shoulders, hands in his pockets, “They where one of the many evils in the world. I had to rid them from Neopia.” My hands clenched into fists, “I can’t believe you did this! You did this to your own sister!” “You still need to be taken care of, too.” Hacaeus said, “You’re not doing your job and you are now one of the many evils in the world. I only know of two now: You and Mailiku.” “Mailiku…” I muttered, trying to remember the name. “Well, take your luck elsewhere brother. I’m not doing my job and I’m not leaving Neopia.” I pulled a smoke bomb from my pocket and tossed it to the ground, smoke exploding from it, giving me time to fly off unnoticed.
After a few hours of flying, I had arrived in the Haunted Woods. The sun didn’t reach the ground and a mysterious fog covered the area. I finally reached a dead end and no one was around, “Hello?” I called out, looking around. “Hello.” I nearly jumped as a voice had answered, but I saw no one. “Who was that?” I asked aloud. A figure stepped out of the fog. An anthro shadow meerca to be exact. Two scars covered the Meerca’s right cheek. Gray-ish hair went down to mid-back. Everything about him was gray, even his eyes which were more of a slate colour. “Do you know anyone by the name of Mailiku?” I asked. The meerca chuckled, “I am Mailiku. Why do you ask?” “I need to join you.” I said quickly, “I’ll do anything.” Mailiku raised an eyebrow, “Now why do you need to join me?” “Because…” I started, looking at the ground, “I can’t really say. Its for a personal reason.” “Well, if its not important than I can’t allow you.” Mailiku said, folding his arms. “No, it is!” I nearly shouted, “I need to join you to get revenge on my brother. Do you know of a Zafara named Hacaeus?” Mailiku nodded his head, not even giving it a thought, “Yes, I do. He’s your brother? You look nothing alike.” “Yeah, he is unfortunately. We’re twins.” “Well…what kind of revenge are you trying to get on him? You may be of some use.” Mailiku said, now gaining interest. “Try murder.” I said in a harsh tone, “I need him gone.” “Well then” Mailiku started, “You’re more than welcome to join me as long as you plan on doing other work.” I nodded, “I’m ready and willing.” My voice was full of confidence. I looked back up at the sky, a smirk on my face, “I’m coming brother. In the end, only one of us shall be living.”
