((Cha. ^^; I'll try to explain this the best I can IC, but if you're unclear about something, just ask.))
Ebony feathered wings ruffled in the wind. A chestnut-furred feline was perched on the spire rooftop, her wings wrapped around her, her eyes set in a pensieve sort of manner. A deep silver patch of fur, shaped much like a crescent moon, was under each of her glowing amber eyes. There was a matching moon on each of her shoulders, as well as a crescent patch on her neck.
A light footstep sounded behind her. Her ears swivelled around, listening. Shining eyeteeth were revealed as the feline broke into a smirk. "Hello D'Myre."
A sigh was heard, followed by more footsteps. The lapine creature they belonged to took at seat next to the feline. His crimson eyes were hidden behind shock-white bangs. His fur was deep mahagony in colour, and sprouting from his back was a pair of charcoal wings, not unlike the other's. Grey four-point stars were on his shoulders in place of the crescents on the feline.
"Is Senatrice upset with me for not following orders?" The feline asked in a smug tone.
"Upset is an understatement." D'Myre responded, looking out into the dark sky.
"Oh." She smiled. "I don't see what she's so angry about. Eliott is dead, isn't he?"
"That's not the point, Olivia."
"Then what is the point, exactly? We were trying to kill him anyway, why wait?"
The rabbit sighed once again, shaking his head. "You're too impatient. Our plans will have to be rewritten."
Olivia's grin turned to an angry frown. "You're all idiots, I say. Eliott is dead. That's one battle won. If we can win a few more, victory in this war will be ours."
"Do you think Elliot's death will really affect the Lights that much?" D'Myre suddenly demanded, a scowl crossing his face. "Is that what you really think? That with one of their main leaders gone, the rest will just crumble? You're underestimating your enemy. That is something you do not want to do."
Olivia fell silent, her tail swishing in agitation. D'Myre stood, stretching his wings out. "Where are you going?"
"Back to the Eastern headquarters. If you're smart, you won't be far behind. Senatrice wants to see you." With that said, he leapt into the air, unfurling his wings completely and soaring towards the East.
Olivia stared for a moment, shaking her head and coiling her tail around her. People had been at war for far too long now. In fact, it had probably been far too long quite a few years ago. In fact, it had been so long ago, no one could really remember what started the war to begin with. Most people assumed it was the drastic differences in their cultures and traditions.
Neither side was willing to give up or fall out, the sides being the Darks and the Lights. There had been many vain attempts to restore peace, or at least tolerance between the two races, associations like "Destiny" and "Bonds of Hope". Though most of their methods had been both interesting and memorable, none of them really worked to stop the fighting.
And here they were today, still in the midst of a war, still fighting for their cultures, traditions, heritage, and whatever else the sides stood for.
Olivia put on a pouting expression. She really didn't feel like sitting through one of Senatrice's lectures. Especially the one she knew she was about to get. She'd disobeyed direct orders before, but she'd never killed off a major Light officer. Especially one that was the target of a couple future plans she'd heard. So, she remained in her sitting position on the spire, staring out into the night sky.
((^^ If ya need any clarification on anything, or if you want a bit of Light/Dark demonology, just ask. owo Oh, and if anything sounds familiar to you... I'm sorry. x3; I tried to make it somewhat original.))
