Kyleigh looked absolutely exhausted. "Blood contains a fraction of the essense of man; all I did was add some of my essense to his own. The added spiritual energy sped up the healing of his wounds," she explained. Daray's eyes flickered open. The empty orbs traveled to Laevaetion, who had his hand. Tired as he was, he gave a weak smile. His eyes closed once again and he drifted into sleep.

"That's a smart trick." Laevaetion said in a semi-quiet tone. She let go of Daray's hand near the floor so it wouldn't fall hard. Relieved that no one appeared deceased, she stood up and dusted off her knees. She looked at Kyleigh with a gentle expression, "You seem like you know more about these hypes of situations than I do. Tell me if you need help with anything."

Kyleigh smiled slightly. "I can't remember where I learned these things. I've just always know it, I guess..." Kyleigh gently lifted Daray and placed him back on the couch. "Well, I think it would be best if we all got some rest. You girls going home?" She asked before sitting down against a wall. "Your welcome to stay the night. Though I don't see why you'd want to. I think there's a room up stairs if you decide to stay."

Desyful's face seemed to light up. She began tugging on Laevaetion's sleeve once again, "Hey, just like a sleepover! Thats so cool!" It appeared that she had forgotten about everything that happened previously. Laevaetion laughed slightly, "If you get anymore cheerier, your going to give us all diabetes." Laevaetion gave a nod, "Sure, we'll stay. Come, Desyful." Desyful gave a fist-pump up towards the sky as she happily followed Laevaetion upstairs.

Daray's eyes twitched at the arrival of morning light. It must have been around 6 am because the sky was still slightly pink. The Lupe stood up and began to walk around, forcing the stiffness of his joints and limbs away. Last night... had Laevaetion held his hand? Fondled it? Perhaps it was only a dream... but even if it was, it was marvelous. Daray's attention shifted to the fire. Something caused him to look there. He heard a loud, shrill scream, but his attention remained on the fire.
All of the sudden, Daray was looking into a pair of seemingly innocent hazel eyes. However, when he looked closer, he saw sins beyond the cruelties of any other being just waiting to be unleashed. He realized he was looking at himself more than 500 years ago. He shakily stood up, wide eyed. The eyes of the disembodied head stared at his eyes vacantly. Daray kicked dirt into the fire and watching as the image vanished.
He ran back to the couch and curled up into a small ball; he went into a hysterical fit of sobs; he often choked on his own tears.

The sound of creaking stairs began to start. Laevaetion slowly decended the stairs tiredly, rubbing her eyes while keeping one hand hovering above the railing. As soon as she reached the bottom of the stairs, she set her glasses on her nose which made everything much clearer to her. She stood in the same spot for what seemed like the longest time to get rid of her dizziness from waking up so suddenly. Her attention soon turned towards the lupe. "What's wrong?" She asked in a quiet tone in fear of waking anyone.

Daray looked up at Laevaetion, completely startled. "What are you-?!" He stopped himself and wiped his eyes. "Nothin'... I was just scared. Really, really scared," he explained slowly. "Er... why ARE ye here?"

"Desyful and I took up Kyleigh's offer to stay the night. After what happened yesterday and Desyful's wish to stay, there wouldn't have been a choice for me, anyways." Laevaetion said casually as she didn't move from her spot, "What were you scared of?"

Daray didn't want to tell Laevaetion about what he had seen in the fire. "I had a nightmare," he said with a small, fake shudder. "I s'pose last night sorta drained me... eheh..." He said nervously. He wanted so badly to ask if she really did hold his hand last night, but he decided not to.

"Ah..." Laevaetion said with a single nod. She leaned her side against the wall and folded her arms, "Are you feeling better this morning?" She asked as she forced back a yawn with the back of her hand.

Later in the day, Kyleigh suggested that the four go to Neopia Central. Of course, everyone was tired of hanging around the completely obliterated Kiko Lake. So every agreed to the idea whole-heartedly. The sun was shining bright and there was a slight chill in the air. No, it was REALLY cold. Most people wore scarfs and heavy jackets.
Daray had brought his heavy velvet cape with him. It provided him with sufficient warmth; though Laevaetion received several strange looks because of what she was dressed in. The four took a rest outside a restaurant. Daray found it a little strange that villains such as them were sitting casually by a fast food building.
All of the sudden, a female Lupe in quite skimpy clothing came to the table. There was a small name-tag on her chest that read "Natasa". "Hi guys. May I take your order?" She asked as if rehearsed; an obviously fake smile was etched upon her face. Daray blinked, looking around. "Er... we're no' eatin' here... I don'... think..." He tried to explain. The woman tilted her head. "That a pretty accent. Are you not from here?"
Daray rubbed his arm. "What? Nae. Look, we don' want anythin' tae eat," he told her. The Lupe shook her head. "Nonsense! I'll bring something out for you guys... it's on the house!" As she was walking back to the building, she looked over his shoulder and winked at Daray. Daray coughed and looked at the ground, obviously disturbed by the awkward situation.

Desyful kept blowing into the cold air, watching her breath look like mist. Her expression resembled the expression of a 2 year old to a set of jingling car keys. Desyful let out a small laugh, being amused by such simple things, "Hey Lae! Lookit!" The darigan zafara didn't answer nor look towards Desyful. She happened to catch a glimpse of the wink that the lupe gave Daray. Before her thoughts even began to start up, she was interupted by Desyful tugging on her sleeve once again, "Something the matter, Lae?" "What?" Laevaetion began as if she had been off in a different world; now looking at Desyful, "Oh. No, nothing."

Daray chuckled weakly. "The waitresses 'ere are so... friendly, eh?" He joked. Not long after that comment, the "friendly" waitress returned with a large tray of food. Perhaps too much food. Daray looked strangely at the food, then to the waitress. "Er... I don'-" "Nonsense!" Exclaimed Natasa exclaimed, placing the tray before them.
Kyleigh glanced at the greasy food with a wince. She realized how hungry she was... but she didn't want to satisfy her hunger with this... crap. As Natasa turned to leave, she "accidentally" brushed Daray's shoulder with her chest. Daray sunk down into his seat and blinked. "TOO friendly."

Desyful blinked as she stared at all the food. Being an android, she didn't need a thing, but wanted to know what each thing was since it didn't look to normal to her. "Heh." Laevaetion started as she stared out onto the street, just watching people pass by, "Here I am thinking you would take advantage of the waitress."

Daray raised a brow and set down the Coke he was drinking. "I'm no' like that an ye know it..." He said indignantly. "I wonder why she's actin' like that. I've never seen 'er. Wasn't her name Natasa?" Kyleigh took a sip from her drink and glanced at Daray. "Well, obviously, you were looking at her rack." She pointed out, remembering her name tag was pinned to her chest.
Daray grumbled something. "Is it so wrong t' want t' know yer server's name? Besides, Laevaetion is a lot bigger..." The last part was said so quietly that it would have taken excellent hearing to even guess what he had said.
