((; Anything mentioned about Cina is subject to change. I haven't planned out an excessive amount of her character and past. ;>> Oops. I lose.))
A whistling wind blasted through the trees, followed by the sound of heavy fabric rippling. The orange wocky braced himself against the trunk, wishing the storm had held off for just a night. He'd been on a bit of a... break for the past week and a half, and his pent up energy was begging to be let out.
Currently, he had one foot perched precariously on a flimsy branch high up in a white willow and the other pressed firmly on a thicker branch below. His eyes were hidden behind tinted shades within a winter-white mask. Though his eyes themselves weren't visible, a long scar running across his right eye was. Triangular wocky ears stood at attention atop his copper-haired head; currently poised toward the building in his sight.
He bit down on his tongue, letting out a soft hiss. Though the storm was causing enough noise to more or less cover any sounds his entrance might make, it would make it a hell of a lot harder to jump to the roof. He flexed his fingers, claws digging into the trunk as he prepared his "take off".
The wocky, known to few as Runomaru, bent his knees, ready to push away from the tree. Out of seemingly no where a soft spoken voice sounded out. Or perhaps it was just soft from being drowned out by the storm. He spun his head to face the interruption.
A white bori with a hazy blue tint to her coat stood at the base of the tree, dressed in outrageous attire for such weather. She seemed hardly fazed by the fact there even was a storm. Her light chocolate eyes bore into his own. That is, they would have, had he not been wearing a mask. Various gems glittered from her earings. An amulet held the shoulder straps and "sleeves" of her dress together at the front. A star-shaped ruby shone from the sash around her waist. There was an assortment of what seemed to be tattoos over her face; a cresent moon on her left cheek, matched by the sun on her right, as well as a blue diamond on the bridge of her nose.
She called up again, slightly louder this time. The wocky's sensitive ears caught traces of speech, though none of it was understandable. A slightly troubled look graced her features as she shouted out once again.
He clenched a fist. 'What does she want? It doesn't look like she's realised what I was going to do, so I suppose I'm safe for now. I should just run... and get out of here. If she keeps shouting she's going to attract someone's attention. Then I'll be in trouble...'
'Yeah. I'll just... get to the other side of the tree, go down from there and come back tomorrow.' Runo turned his face away, smirking to himself. His ears caught the traces of another yell in vain. He pressed his ears to his skull angrily. His nose wrinkled in indesicion. A sigh of defeat came from his mouth as he expertly scaled down the tree, landing on his feet in front of the bori. "What?!"
The bori's head flinched away. Her eyes widened for a moment before quickly shifting to a scowl. She opened her mouth to rant a complaint. To Runo's surprise, what sounded like gibberish spouted from her.
'No wonder I couldn't understand her. She doesn't speak English!' He crossed his arms under his cloak, looking at her in a confused way. "I don't understand what you're saying."
The bori blinked, a crestfallen pout on her lips. She let out a muttered phrase, staring into his face again.
"I said I don't understand you."
She shook her head, her pout turning into an annoyed frown. Apparently she hadn't yet met someone who was able to speak her language, whatever it might be.
((:3 Whoosh. Long intro. I apologise.
On another note... I made Cina speak an unknown language for a reason. If your pet can magically make some weird translator thing that can decipher her speech... I DON'T want to know about it.))
