Her are some rules that you should follow, though I know you hate rules:

1. DON'T take over other people's characters or make your character perfect.

2. If romance is allowed, don't go overboard

3. Your posts should be understandable

4. Oddly colored pets as well as painted and ones with special accessories are allowed

5. You are allowed to have half human pets as well as just plain ones.

6. HAVE FUN!!

According to Noriko, it can be quad, anthro, a swap-betweener, or imaginary.
