"Sounds like a painful way to go!" Chase remarked, looking the other two over for valuables. "Strangled by your own spine. I take it this necklace was very important to someone? Obviously not you, what with you burying it out somewhere in the desert."

"Stop hittin' on the lass, Bahalt!" Clay shouted, backhanding his brother. Bahalt rubbed his cheek, glaring at Clay. "What are ye talkin' aboot? I did no even say anything to her!" Clay shrugged.

"Ye can never be too sure."
"..."
"Si, senor?"
"Yer not a bloody Mexican!"
"Que?"
"Burn in hell."
"No comprendo, senoria."
"Did ye just call me a woman?!"
"Si."

Clay looked to Akeminess and sniggered. "Ye 'ave to be careful. Mah brother's bound t' jump ye sometime," He warned. Bahalt rubbed his temples. "Ah think yer more likely to do something like that, Clay."

"Its important to my siblings and I." Myiori said, "If we only had it...we could have one more chance..." He trailed off, not liking to remember. Akeminess raised an eyebrow at the two, thinking that they were insane, "Riiiiiight..."

"I see. I think." Chase blinked, staring at the twins for a moment before shaking his head and staring across the desert at the distant city of Sahkmet.

"Come on, laying in the sand isn't going to help." Akeminess said, nudging Myiori's side with her foot/paw. Myiori sighed, "You never know. Besides, it would take years and years of digging to find it..." Myiori sat up and looked over at the two brothers, "What are you guys doing out here, anyways?"

Clay looked at the ground and shuffled his feet in an embarrassed fashion. "I was... Er... Looking for the Lost Dessert," he said quietly.

Bahalt nodded grudgingly. "Aye. And he dragged me into it also."

Myiori seemed to choke on air as he instantly cracked up, "Y-your serious?!" Taking deep breaths, he tried to calm himself down, putting a webbed paw over his mouth to muffle the laughter. "Lost dessert? Uh..." Akeminess said, remembering a time when TTD got all worked up because he thought Ice Cream island was real.

Bahalt nodded with an irritated sigh. "Aye. Obviously my brother's not too skilled with readin'," he said. This caused Clay to glare. "I made ONE mistake an' ye act like it's the end of the world!"

"Well maybe it is."

Myiori snorted, trying to muffle his laughter as he shut his eyes tightly. "I'm guessing none of you know the way out of here, do you?" Akeminess asked, looking from side to side as if the way out of the desert was in the sand.

Chase remained quiet for a short bit, kicking the sand in a bored manner. "Well, I don't think there's anything I can do about that necklace of yours. Aaand, I've already mentioned that Sahkmet isn't too far from here."
