The brisk wind sent chills down her spine as she wandered through the fairground, following the pet that had dragged her here for a day of "fun".
False and rigged games. That's what this fair was full of. That and interesting characters that tried to con you out of your money. And dignity, all depending on who you'd been unfortunate enough to encounter.
"Why did you drag me here?" The silver wocky known as Millicent whined, pulling her jacket around her tightly. "Why, to this disgusting excuse for a fair?" Her right foot stuck to the ground for a bit every time she lifted it, she must've stepped in some gum. She dragged her foot along the ground, hoping to scrape it off.
"Because you hate it here." The wocky's young companion, a shoyru named Anna replied. "I thought I'd be... interesting."
"How can you even stand it here? Everyone keeps looking at me... funny."
Anna rolled her eyes. "You're too uptight. Relax." She ran a hand through her hair indifferently. "It's... kinda fun here. I think so anyway."

"Come on, Kaedori. Cheer up!" Said the cheerful words of the fire gelert known as Meggeddo who walked next to the white gelert, Kaedori. "I'm fine...really." Kaedori said in her quiet voice as she looked around her in a paranoid fashion. "Your not fine, I can tell!" Meggeddo nearly shouted, "Where is the old Kaedori? She used to be so hyper and cheerful!"

Milly's eyes shifted from side to side as she walked at a quick pace, trying to stay directly behind Anna. "I swear... that one guy over there looks like he's going to jump out and ask me if I want to buy a watch..."
Anna snickered. "I wouldn't put it past him!" She joked. They continued to walk on a little farther, nearing Kaedori and Meggeddo.
Milly paused, looking to the gelerts. "Erm... is your friend okay there?" She asked Meggeddo.
Anna stopped as well, turning to look. "Yeah. She looks more jittery than Milly."
Milly glared half-heartedly, shaking her head lightly.

"She just isn't herself anymore." Meggeddo said as folded her arms, "Trying to figure out why. She should be better sometime." The fire gelert's glance shifted between Milly and Anna, "I'm guessing the wocky is Milly?" Kaedori kept silent as her hands clasped behind her back, sky blue eyes looking at the ground.

Anna nodded. "Hm. Okay..."
"Yeah... I'm Milly." Milly stated, looking to Kaedori.
"Right, nice meeting you. Good luck with what you're doing and stuff. C'mon Milly. Let's go play Bagatelle." Anna said, linking arms with Milly and dragging her off.
"But I dont-" Milly stuttered, not really trying to fight her way out of Anna's grasp.

"Katieh... Are you SURE this is where our neohome is?" whined the small voice of a young green Ixi called Enflaya. She shivered, holding her arms close to her bright yellow shirt. "Aw, Effy, calm down! This place is great!" answered Effy's companion, Katieh the pink aisha. Effy frowned, watching the shifty creatures around her.

"Oooh, come ON! Die bottle, DIE!" The irritated tone came from one of the stands a couple of yards away from the small group. One figure stood in front of the wooden counter, throwing an coconut shell, a bit annoyed to the fact that she was being ripped off. "One one more shot, little lady." The figure behind the counter snickered, beginning to drum his webbed fingers upon the counter's surface. OJ sighed. She began to become clueless why she even came to this creepy place. You only got ripped off each time you tried to play the various types of creepy games. Her gaze soon drifted elsewhere, an ear twitching to the nearly high-pitched tone. "Well, you gonna try again or what?" OJ's attention soon returned to the row of bottles that were placed upon a shelf in the back of the small little stand. 'Stupid evil Coconut Shy... I should quit before I lose anymore Neopoints to this damn asshole.' She grinded her teeth for a moment before shaking her head and tossing the tennis-ball towards the small line of bottles, not surprised as the ball hit the middle one of the many white bottles, then hit the ground. The mossy Quiggle chuckled with a devious grin, crossing his arms before motioning a finger for her to hand over what little neopoints she already had. The navy blue pet growled, pouting her bottom lip before digging into her tiny wallet and pulling out a few neopoints. "Damn you all to hell..." "That's what they all say!" The Quiggle laughed mockingly, sweeping up the small golden coins that lay upon the dusted counter before turning around and wandering off, putting the pile of Neopoints into his little "stash". "Well... this isn't cool..." With a small sigh, the Lupe turned her back to the stand before stuffing her small paws into her pockets and continuing to wander about the area aimlessly. She'd done this a few times before, and it was beginning to turn into a bad habit. Gaze flickered upwards at the cloudy sky as she brushed her bangs away from her vision with an uncomfortable frown. "God, are you there? Can you hear me?" She asked aloud to what seemed to be the sky, only to recieve no answer.
((... Braindead. ._.; ))

"Hey, wait up!" Meggeddo said as she grabbed Kaedori's wrist and followed the shoryu and wocky, "Mind if we tag along? Got nothing better to do." Kaedori stummbled, almost tripping over a rock.

"Ooh! Oooh! Lookit!" cried Katieh, pointing to a small stand with a scruffy Lupe. She grabbed Effy's paw and dragged her over. "Hey! What's this?!" Katieh asked the Lupe. "Fancy a game of Bagatelle?" He answered. "You just throw the Mootix ball. The higher number it lands in, the more you earn! Only 250 neopoints a try, care to give it a spin?" Katieh grinned and nodded happily.

"Not at all." Anna said, approaching the Bagatelle stand. She placed a hand on her hip, watching as the pink aisha took a shot at the game.
Milly stood, not too far behind, eyes still shifting from side to side.

"Infestation... annihilation... rebirth..." "Sir, are you all right?" "Infestation... annihilation... rebirth..." "Sir? Sir?" "Infestation... annihilation... rebirth..." "What are you talking about, sir- Ach... Mr. Bettergrough... wha-" After a few gagging noises, there was complete silence. A rather tall human stood over the corpse of a plump, balding man. He looked indifferent as if nothing unusual had happened; yet in his right hand was the left lung of a human being. It was soaked in the warm crimson blood of its former owner. The tall human who appeared to be in his 60's sniffed the air, pupils momentarily transforming into slits.
"You! Demon!" Bettergrough hissed and spun around still clutching the lung. His eyes narrowed at the sight of a Gelert dressed in a fine suit made of silk. A pair of glacier-blue eyes stared back expressionlessly. The old man blinked, stepping back when he realized the danger of the Gelert. "Powerful demon posession... hmm... this could get dirty..." Noted the Gelert as he pulled a small book from his suit jacket. "The soul of the host should be completely devoured by now so I don't really have to worry about harming it. All I need to do is exterminate really," he told himself. He flipped through the book until he found the desired page. He traced his fingers over the bold print as he read aloud the words. The old man stood perplexed, then began screeching uncontrollably. He clutched his ears and fell to the ground, twitching. The Lupe took a small, crystal bottle and walked to the man. "Back to hell you go, hell spawn," he whispered as he dumped the contents on the man. With a horrible squeal, the man's body exploded in a brilliant red light. The body was now on fire. "Exorsism successful," he muttered, looking around to see if anyone had noticed the lights.

Katieh took aim, throwing the ball to the very left of the stand. "Hey!" she cried, watching the ball fall to the very right in the "2" slot. "Congratulations, you've won 5 neopoints." said the Lupe. "WHAT?!" screeched Katieh. "I WANT MY MONEY BACK!"

"Alrighty, thanks!" Meggeddo said as she dragged Kaedori along by her wrist, a smile on her face. Kaedori stared at the ground as she was being dragged along, being careful not to trip over anything. She turned her head as she saw the light in the corner of her eye, "What was that?!" She said louder than she had planned.

Anna blinked, eyeing Katieh. "That's the game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose."
"You saw it too?" Milly asked, staring over in the direction of where the lights had been.
